Audra has spent over twenty-five years guiding diverse learners on their journey toward success in both classroom and private settings. As a Reading Specialist, classroom teacher, and ELD (English Language Development) educator, she has worked with thousands of students, helping them build confidence and achieve meaningful growth in reading and writing.
As a mother of two high school–aged boys, Audra understands that learning is not just academic—it’s also deeply personal. She recognizes the emotional challenges students can face and is committed to creating a supportive environment where they feel encouraged, capable, and empowered.
Audra’s mission is to equip every student with the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
Kristen Hostler
Certified Orton-Gillingham Interventionist
With three decades of experience as an MCPS Reading Specialist, Consultant, and Special Educator, Kristen is now focusing her expertise on what she loves most—providing highly individualized, targeted instruction that helps each student thrive. She holds the deep belief that developing proficient readers fosters overall self-confidence and she strives to make each session fun for young readers.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her on the tennis court, catching a flight, or unwinding on her deck with a good book. Kristen is the proud mom of two college-aged daughters and is married to a dedicated math teacher.
